Arlo’s wondering: whats with the bathing suit underneath it?

Once he’d heard the words “I ordered a new bathing suit…” the rest of the words in the sentence had become nothing but inaudible babble.

He looks so forlorn the the last frame.

but…but…where’s the boobies!?

The assumption is that the bathing suit is on under the coverup. Arlo didn’t ask to see the bathing suit, just the coverup.

Now is the coverup actually covering a bathing suit??

They must be preparing for a vacation!

Aha… so Arlo only heard her say “New bathing suit” and Janis actually believed he would he would have even the slightest interest in the cover-up. Cryptic but funny once the light bulb comes on.
