I thought maybe Corey just never āgotā that next step after crawlingā¦..
I can understand, if thatās itā¦.
After all, when he was a baby, crawling took him everywhere he needed to goā¦.so maybe he just never felt the need to stand up.
Why try to balance on two legs and hold your head 6 feet above the floor, when a fall is much less likely, to say nothing of safer,on FOUR legs, and from much lower.
Bevā¦ she LOVES getting a response. Any response.Sheās a sad, lonely person who thrives on negative attention cos it makes her feel important,as does calling herself a professor.Whatever people say just makes her laugh.
Ah yes; La Belle Franglaise ā I reckon she might be one of those people who peers from behind the curtains and reports the neighbours for cutting their grass when sheās got the washing out.
@pcolli @beviek @SusanSunshine@et al who may agree
re the troll per seā¦
Like a rectum: although all of us have one, some of them can certainly stink.Oh, maybe Iāve said too muchā¦apologies to those possibly offended, butt thatās my story and Iām stinkinā to it.
Corey has always been a bland guy, responsible and reliable, but just not very interesting. And, since moving to Ballard St. this past January, he has noticed a few things with his neighbors:On January 12, Alex started hurling shoes into his yardā¦
On May 8, Neal and Mr. Parmalee, the bank president, disagree on the proper angle to wear their shoe hats at the innaugural meeting of the Shoehat Society.
Corey doesnāt know who to believe anymoreā¦and decides wearing shoes on his head isnāt for him.
On June 1, the next-door neighbor, Monty, decided to start creeping about on all fours with artificial catās paws.
Corey admires Montyās ability to keep a lower profile than Coreyās been managing to do all these years. Corey makes his final decision. Itāll be slow going, but he tries to keep time with the Ballard St. Official Anthem.
Yes, Bev. I agree. I was going to make a relevant -to ā the ā strip comment over there about horses and horses a$$es but decided Iād ignore her and just flag her instead. !
Coryās no heel, though. Heās become the life and sole of the party. He just gets a little tongue-tied. But at least heās not as straight laced as Mr. Parmelee.
OH Stel, such a great storied collection on the footwear of Ballard St! Love it! And yes, Susan Radish could have shrunk it but I loved that the way it appeared on my page, the creator.com ad appeared to be a billboard someone was carrying.
The even I attended last Saturday had 2 ladies with outlandishly colored hair (like some I see at the Tiki above). One was bright pink and the other turquoise. Since most of us were in Medieval garb, that stood out but we had lots of fun and SCA is a game (after all). Some folks are too darned serious while I have no problem with the Pirates and Belly Dancers among us. LOL
That mobile Tiki needs to have Fenton (or a friend of his) because open serve yourself bar can become a problem. Iām headed to the gym now but Iāll stop back for a nightcap later.
The trouble is that she hasnāt actually said anything which could be construed as being ālegallyā offensive..Until then she will continue to entertain us and give us good reason to vent our spleen..Thereās a woman over the road from us who has every illness under the sun, who sees all and knows nothing. I wonder if itās her.
Dazzā¦ yes, large pictures sometimes look greatā¦. to SOME people.
But not everybody thinks the same pictures are interesting, or relevant ā¦ yours is, Radish!ā¦.
Lots of users arenāt lucky enough to have fast computers, or broadband.Dial-up modems & old computers hang for ages on large filesā¦.
And recently, GoComics deleted old pics from PhotoBucket and Flicker.
If people using these forums as personal photo albums, or not limiting file sizes, makes bandwidth usage grow, GoComics may disallow all image posting.
@Susan,I thought you were telling Radish to cut it down and I must admit I like the larger photos because I still donāt wear glasses (except for calligraphy-which I always did).
Since you seem to know more about the bandwidth I have always wondered 2 things: 1) if a large photo is posted with a limiting size in the HTML (which sometimes doesnāt work now) but does THAT make it take less bandwidth? and 2) If a photo is repeated on multiple places (IE Holiday cards) if I see one that is already posted on a different ātoon within GoComics and I reference THAT as my URL to ādittoā the greeting, does that save on bandwidth as I would assume?
Any time you open a page, any visible pictures on it are loaded into your computerās memory from their remote locations.
I always thought that limiting their size using the width attribute would limit the bandwidth used to do that,
But I recently read an online article that said the browser would still download the whole imageā¦ and advised that if your bandwidth is limited, as on PhotoBucket or a free website, you should crop closely and then re-size before uploading to a host.
But, especially on a small monitor, tablet, or phone, a smaller image doesnāt take up the whole screen and is certainly less annoying to scroll.
On most computers, a downloaded image is stored for a while in your ācacheāā¦. so when you see it again, usually the already downloaded file is re-used.But no matter where you got it, even another spot on GoComics, a new viewerās computer must still download the image from its host.

This is SUCH a weird strip. Such whacky inventiveness on a daily basis is amazing. ~ Donāt think Iād ever like to meet the cartoonist, though.
SusanSunshine Premium Member over 11 years ago
Why is she still allowed on GoComics?
Lots of people said they flagged her tonight.
That must happen to her a lot, so it must depend on more than flagging.
Sheās been banned beforeā¦ what would it take now?
I rarely see or respond to her but when I do I call her Andrea.
SusanSunshine Premium Member over 11 years ago
Sherbert ā¦ I would LOVE to meet the cartoonist.
So if youāre ever about to run into him and you donāt want to, just give me a call and Iāll take your place, OK?
