I do recall one storyarc where Linus actually did manage to give up the blanket, for good! He then went on to start a support group for other kids who can’t part from their blankets. The irony: Sally takes advantage of this to sneak in and spend time close to Linus, to Linus’s discomfort, and her actions quickly send Linus back into a relapse.
