Adam: Okay. Ready? Clayton: Let's do this. That's harder than it looks. Adam: Sure is! Then he came in to play X-Box. Laura; There's that indomitable Newman spirit!
If at first you don’t succeed, take it as a sign. Most kids don’t give up that easily, especially if you leave them to their own devices. How do you think they learn to ride a two-wheeler? Give him a day or so – he’ll be off and running. Or riding.
My trial was a regular bike. My folks dressed scrapes and bangs, added encouragement and I learned to enjoy riding. These days, too much “hover over” protectionism.
It depends on the kids and the parents. My children are very competitive and are always trying to one-up each other so they would never give up that easily.

He’ll do better if he’s left to his own devices. There’s nothing more off-putting than parental intervention.

But if you don’t learn to ride the unicycle, how will you ever ride it down the street in a Darth Vader costume playing the bagpipes?

Unfortuntely, some children do give up that easily.
