Ahem. Pan-fried thin pieces of SPAM on two pieces of lightly toasted wheat bread are actually quite yummy. Same for the “Underwood Deviled Ham” spread in the tiny cans measuring about the size of three fingernails across (cold not fried, and actually better on wheat crackers). Not able to survive on them year-round, but they were actually pretty good!
We’re knights of the round tableWe dance when e’re we’re ableWe do routines and chorus scenesWith footwork impecc-ableWe dine well here in CamelotWe eat ham and jam and spam alot
(I saw a tour of “Spamalot” in town recently. I wish they’d make a movie version of it!)
My dad loved Spam. When he was a kid during WWII that’s all the meat they could get. It was a rare treat. I can’t stand it, though my mom made a decent Spam fried rice.
I finally acquired a taste for Spam when visiting Hawaii, where it is very popular. The Hawaiian Pizza, topped with pineapple slices and Spam, sounded horrible until I tried it. Not for everyday, but it’s a tasty slice.

I would never have tried Spam, but learned to make Spam Musabi while vacationing in Hawaii. Not bad at all.

I am concerned with where the mower’s pull string as attached – if not careful, hew could wind up mowing his personal “lawn”

ElGuapo: Back bacon, not spam What a horrible thing to say on Canada Day. Shame.
