Brutus: You know, even with a high-definition picture...
Brutus: And a home-theater sound system...
Brutus: Fireworks on TV still can't compare to watching them in person!
It wouldn’t be so bad if the cameras stayed on the fireworks instead of panning around the crowd and cutting away to a different area. most of these shows are so over produced and over directed as to make them unwatchable. Both the Macy’s and the Washington DC shows were running back to back and you had to switch back and forth to see anything worth watching, and don’t get me started on the crappy music on the Macy show.

I have the same problem with movies vs live theater. Though it’s much easier to stop watching a bad movie than it is a bad play.
