I’m sure there are lots of businesses that wish they could do this. People don’t realize how many of these stories bank tellers etc. have to listen to.
I wish grocery stores would do this. I sometimes go to one after work, 12.00 midnight, one lane open, get stuck behind a chatty Cathy or a dullard Willard, have no choice but to clear my throat after a while. At least the checkout person should acknowledge the person in line behind them.
What would really “be nice” is if the person at the head of the line would respect the people behind him or her, complete their transaction and get on with their life, so we can get on with ours.

If that bank charges a fee for being nice, it’s time to switch banks. There’s always another one a block up the street.
