That course of action never worked with my mom when it came to my chores. Re-scrubbing the toilet with her supervising tended to ensure a good result.

Yeah, you lose one annoying little sister while baby sitting, and you’re never asked to baby sit again! (I’m sure she’ll turn up eventually…)

When I was in 8th grade it was my job to keep an eye on the kindergartners after they were let out of class until the bus came. One day one of the kids was acting up and I made him go stand in a corner. I completely forgot about him until I went to return to my own class and I heard him crying. He was still standing in the corner and the bus had left without him. His mom was really angry with me and I never got to watch those kids again. Oops.

oh that was the ploy when my girls were young when it came to washing dishes…..just ask them to eat off of a sticky dish one time and it all stops!!! Why do you vacuum where you can’t see…heard every Saturday morning.

My dog has me trained to fetch the paper too.

I made the mistake of doing the job that everyone hated the right way instead of half-assed and after that the boss always gave me the job because he knew I’d do it right.
