Gramps isn’t bald. He has a little bit of hair on the back of his head. Or does that not count for some reason?

Well, Dad has a lot of body hair and a beard.

Male pattern baldness is inherited from a man’s mother, not father. Like hemophilia, it is caused by a defect on the X chromosome. Men have an X from their mother, and a Y from their father; women have an X from each (normally; there are abnormalities, such as XXY, who are male, but almost certainly in prison)..The defect on the X, plus the missing part on the Y, cause baldness or lack of blood thinning. It is more rare to get two defective X’s, especially with hemophilia, because boys with a defective X don’t (until recently) live long enough to reproduce. Girls can carry the defective X, which only manifests itself in a son; daughters have 50-50 chance of being a carrier..Sorry if I’m too scientific. Point is, he can’t blame dad.

My dad was bald in the middle with just a strip of hair from front to back on either side.
