we have lots of earthworms in our yard but we also have that hard black dirt that can turn into dark concrete when it gets really dry in the summer, I really can’t get much to grow in it, except weeds, so I just leave it.
Jean: We have black gumbo too. It took me ten years to get earthworms in my yard. Twenty years later, I am still working on grass; if it weren’t for weeds, I wouldn’t have a lawn.
