As a wife, I’m pretty sure I’m not quite there yet. Ask again in ten years.

I frequently have to tell the women at work that I’m only getting the one Mother’s Day card.

I “mother” my wife. I get after her about too much sugar, salt, caffeine, and spending.

Nope. I’ll sponsor baseball or football, but not soccer.

My brother-in-law’s doctor told him to cut back on salt, and my sister razed a six block area. Have you ever had chicken soup made without salt? Ditto mashed potatoes. She made all of her own bread, refused to salt, so it didn’t rise. Lucretia!

I’m mom to one and sometimes have to act like mom to the other. As long I don’t become my mom, it’s all good.

Being married to one of those ‘men’ who still thinks he’s a youngster, I have to do a little mothering to keep him alive and healthy.

I’m at the too much salt stage. BP is up, to what back in the old days was considered normal, so I am trying to cut WAY back on my salt. Radishes and spring onions just aren’t the same without salt, let me tell you. But I salted the heck out o them, so hopefully I can lower my BP without going on meds.

Not any more. The wifes BP is lower than mine while eating pounds of salt. Mine higher while eating NO salt!

Two weeks ago, I had four bypasses. My mother and my daughter have kept a close eye on my sodium intake. I’m grateful to them, and do what they tell me (though I’m starting to hanker for some of the salty foods I love).
