He forgot mosquitos…

And sand fleas

Don’t go, Petey! Stay safe in your un-itchy bedroom! Alice will have enough fun for both of you!

Just got back from the beach. Petey forgot about sharks.

And girls in bikinis playing volleyball!

Horseflies. Don’t forget the horseflies.

Don’t forget sand fleas either!!

Around here, the beach is usually closed due to high e coli count.

Petey sounds so thrilled.

He forgot poison ivy, too.

And jellyfish.

And no-see-‘ums will get you good! Oh, yes, and Red Tide aroma, when it’s in bloom.

To all you “Petey’s” I say who cares – it’s the BEACH!!!

And seaweed that wraps itself around your feet as you wade in the water so you don’t know what it is and it might be some kind of sea critter that wants to bite or sting or pull you under and drown you or grab you with its tentacles and pull you out to sea and eat you and you will never be seen again. That’s why I haven’t gone in the water since I was four years old.

What’s at the beach? Sea-glass, sea-shells, sea-birds, drift wood, inflatable toys, sand as fine as flour, families frying chicken and fish, and the sound of lovely sea-breezes through the trees:)
