I understand…. my shoes seem to get more slippery every year…..

How can you gain a purchase on the day when you can’t get any traction?

When I’m working at the Tiki I can blame the banana peels.

It looks like Mrs. Hardy is about to provide some “motivation” for our hero.

I’ve had days like that where I walk out the front door and just don’t want to go any farther. Mr. Hardy looks quite content.

The humidity this morning is 71% – about the same as Chicago. I’ll stay inside most of the day (beautiful view from all my windows along N side of the house anyway) That load of laundry from yesterday can wait to 2PM to be taken down, (when it drops to 38%). and I located clotheslines so they don’t block my view.

But Mrs Hardy sees a perfect opportunity to do something with that nice beached whale costume she purchased last Halloween.

OMG…Mr. Hardy, its Monday morning. Shirley wondered why you left early, went out the back door, no good bye, no peck on the cheek, no call you later, no nothing. Actually, no nothing just about sums it up. No power, no push, no direction, no horizon, no time line, no need and no problem. If anyone wants to know, just tell them you don’t know what day it is, they won’t get it and they won’t ask again. I like you Mr. Hardy, except lose the purple coat and quit wearing matching socks.

Just saw online that an old friend of mine, actor Dennis Farina died. He was a great guy. Very funny – even though he portrayed tough guys and cops on screen ( and he had been a police detective in Chicago before taking up an honest profession – acting ). Good actor, father and grandfather and all around stand up guy. Rest in peace, Dennis.

Linguist,I feel the same way. He was a good actor in many roles. One of those good ones just working to work for the love of acting.I’m sure there is a bit part up there for him.RIP.

Goodnight Ballardeers! You keep the Tiki open and I’ll keep the lights on for when you’re done and ready to sleep! AT MOTEL SIX we keep the LIGHTS ON! (Can’t help myself! Never stayed in one, never would unless I had to, BUT I love Tom Bodett and those commercials!)
