I didn’t get the 2:30 thing either – but it’s funny in its own way.

The company I work for makes a part for a dental-instrument manufacturer. I billed every shipment for 10 years before I noticed the per-piece price was $2.30. When I pointed it out to the rest of the office staff, nobody got the joke. A month later we raised the price to $2.59 and all the fun was gone!

“As long it came out cleanly surely it’s just a case of waiting til the adult tooth comes in.”

I dunno – when I was about eight, my permanent right lower lateral incisor (had to look up that puppy via Google) started coming in behind the deciduous one. The baby one finally fell out, but the permanent one still sat in the second row. Mom’s solution was for me to gradually push the misplaced tooth into its hole with my tongue. The tooth eventually wedged into the gap, but it was crooked because there wasn’t enough room for it. Later in life, I had to have a sharp edge filed down so it wouldn’t cut the inside of my lip. Even now, sometimes when I’m nodding off, my jaw decides to have a spasm, and the tooth goes “chomp!” on the inside of my lip. Perhaps an orthopedist could have remedied this.

I’ve heard that some babies do develop their baby teeth at an earlier age than other babies; so, I am guessing that Teddy is one of them…still a disconnect for me… ;)
