Both my sisters cook like this.

I know! I know! —It’s “unvetted stuff”!

When I had to work late, my ex-BF used to make “Pantry Surprise”: kick the door of the pantry, and the first six edible things off the shelves went into the pot. Most memorable was fettucini with taco-infused sliced Spam, mushrooms and black olives. Actually it was not as bad as it sounds, but some experiments were better than others.

The chef’s surprised.

That’s the reason for some of these restaurant closings here in Atlanta. [Chuckle]

You never “probe” in it’s background. You might hurt it by doing that.
