Chicken: I'm as happy as a clam!
Clam: I sit in the dirt all day, hoping a seagull doesn't come along and crack my head open. How happy do you think I am?
two more. I slept like a log means you slept lumpy, bumpy and covered in moss? And anybody who says something is as easy as taking candy from a baby has NEVER TRIED taking candy from a baby. Oh, one last thing, CLAMS GOT LEGS!!!!!
The full phrase is actually “Happy as a clam at high tide.” This is when the clam is safest and can actually feed. I do not know why people shortened it.
