    How much “traffic” could there be? Other than the occasional character riding on a wheel, you don’t see many vehicles in this strip.

    “Organized sports keeps the Plebs fed and distracted from the world they live in.”-Possibly true, but only because people are more concerned about a ball game than those other matters like: war, famine, flood, blizzard, global climate change, commies under every rock, UFOs, Earth intercept asteroids, nuclear terrorism, energy shortage, non genetically modified foods (as opposed to Frankenfoods which are much tastier), Democrats, Republicans, Courts, terrestrial aliens,

    The Reds are the oldest professional baseball team. He was stating that the Phillies are team with the longest standing name meaning that they have used the same name the longest. The Reds were the Redlegs for awhile in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s for political reasons.
