There are piranhas in Africa?

Heck, people dump piranhas everywhere. Occasionally they are found in Jackson Park Lagoon in Chicago. Maybe piranhas introduced to Florida would eat the Burmese pythons. (-

let me open by saying “only swim with the vegan piranha”

No such thing as an African Piranha. They are native to South America, primarily Venezuela and Brazil.

They aren’t exactly vegan, but pacu mostly eat seeds. Lately it is rumored they eat, um, other things.

There was a classic “Far Side” with a cat looking wistfully at a fish in a fish bowl. The fish was a piranha, and the cat had two wooden front legs!

Piranhas don’t live in Africa.
