That leaves 401 to sell in the pie shop!
OK. maybe 67 for the Tikiā¦.. we can run a Yak ānā Dak ānā Donut Lunch Specialā¦and Iām sure the Monkey will eat someā¦.better make that 88 for the Tikiā¦.
That leaves 313 for the pie shopā¦OH ā¦. waitā¦. one for meā¦Only 312. Sighā¦..
May I have two liime donuts to make up for acquiring a bilingual ear worm?Whoās Enrique? Or was is Henri? I tried not to listen, but was morbidly fascinated.
And the bilingual? earworm? Listening to in in French with Spanish subtitles ā I havenāt done anything like that since my old days down in Mexico watching a film.
Long story made short. Ex-BIL and self were sailing up through the San Juan Islands one summer. Lots of bald eagles nest up there. We saw one being harassed by a seagull, who kept dive bombing him as the eagle was flying.BIL, Bill, and I looked at each other a both thought this will not turn out wellā¦Sure enough, Mr. Eagle had finally had enough, did a roll-over in mid flight, locked his talons into pesky seagull, continued the roll-over and flew off with seagull for dinner.Itās good to be high on the totem pole.
bev, going back to last nightās comment on Rebecca, I too have seen it several times. But I can also say the same about other Hitchcock favorites, like North By Northwest, Rear Window, Strangers On A Train, Suspicion, Saboteur & Notorious. I have since discovered other Hitchcock films that in time will join those ranks, like the original 1934 version of The Man Who Knew Too Much, The Lady Vanishes, The Thirty Nine Steps & Jamaica Inn.
The original version of The Man Who Knew Too Much didnāt have the star power, however, it did have Peter Lorre as the antagonist. He was much more believable, even though at the time of filming, he didnāt even know how to speak english. But I think my favorite Lorre film is Arcenic And Old Lace.
Wowā¦. Yak ānā Dak ānā Donuts is very popular!
I guess Iāll have to add doughnuts to the Pie Shop offerings on a regular basisā¦.
cosā¦. wellā¦. I just need something else to doā¦.
LOL.
Bev, your order notedā¦. will do my bestā¦..
2Oldā¦. please send your husband to the Pie Shopā¦. itās a lot cheaper that wayā¦.and Iām trying to work out some with potato and rice flours.
Umā¦. lotta scary bunnies and roosters in hereā¦.. Iā¦uhā¦. I think I hear the phone ringingā¦.gotta goā¦..
And Iām on my way to the fair anywayā¦.the chickens and bunnies there are sweet!Plus they keep them waaaay up the hill, in the Fur and Feathers buildingā¦.whew.
BEV, I think it was the Margueritas last night, plus strong pain medication. I must remember not to do that again, but SUSANās ear worm drove me to it!I donāt think hanging around SUSAN can make me loopier than I already am. Besides, I could never keep up with her work load- could I have two more lime doughnuts please? Where was I?Oh dear, did I just suggest that SUSAN is loopy? Quick, hide me, BEV!
Speaking of birds(well, GROG mentioned BIRDS)- I just about had a heart attack just now. A pigeon just flew KRACK! Into my window, and kept flying. He hit it so hard, he left a feather stuck to the window. Ooh, that pigeonās going to be in PANE I tell you.
That does happen, Shika. When I was living in Dallas, there were these cardinals passing through would bang into and peck at my kitchen window. They were feisty little things.
Fellow Baby, LOL about your cardinal! My friend and co-worker of 20 plus years was telling us today about his cardinal problem. They have 4 vehicles at their house, son, daughter, wife and him. Every morning there was bird shi! on or around the side mirrors on all the vehicles. At first he thought his came from our workplace, where we have lots of birds hanging on wires. He got to watching from his porch and noticed a cardinal going to ALL the vehicles side mirrors, looking in and pecking away at the mirrors, one vehicle at a time. So he put bags over all the mirrors at night, except the one on the driver side of his truck. Dang if there wasnāt bird shi! all over that mirror in the morning! LOL! Plus, the bird chipped away some of the mirror!
The Birds is my favorite Hitchcock movie, and one of my top favorite movies of all time. I have a friend who is TERRIFIED of hummingbirds, no real reason, never saw the movie, though no hummingbirds were in that anyway, never had one attack her or get near her, just totally literally terrified of them.
Time to say Good Night. But first, a few words from Shika.@ pcolli Itās hard to listen to a bird or animal being attacked. You donāt often see what you saw in the city.
GROG, Iād like to see The Birds and many of the classics youāve mentioned.Birds do go for reflections, so it is not surprising about the cardinals. I have seen similar things in birds
DRY, your friend would have died of a heart attack at our cottage. A humming bird made a bee line for the red flower on my tee shirt and stopped just before impaling my chest. I have been dive imbed by robins and red wings during nesting season.
Susan, Iāll take two dozen of your Zesty lime doughnuts. They will make a delicious desert for our quilting group on Thursday. I know, there will only be ten people there but I may need to sample a few before serving my guestā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
When reading outdoors, hummers have often approached the red clothing that I often wear.@Happy, I have lost many hours at the hawkās nest (but mostly keep it on a tab and hear when a feeding approaches.@Shika, thanks- I thought it was cute too.@Stel, you posted the white rabbit (with his watch) about sunset here, but it IS bedtime now. Gānight all!
When I lived in Southwest Florida, my house was surrounded by woods and cardinal nests. I had the same problem. Itās because the males see their reflection in your mirrors and think itās a rival. Covering the mirrors is a good solution. However, many homes in Florida have reflective glass, because of the heat. Other birds think they are seeing a rival-woodpeckers, especially the large ones, will "fight: their reflection for hours.

Redā¦. I know other people did itā¦. but it was the Terry Jacks version that was the earworm for me cos it was always on the radio.
And the lyrics are so maudlin ā¦ though the Kingston Trio DOES do it better.
Did you know it actually was an adaptation of THIS older Jacques Brel song (in French)?
