Fenton…. did you see that adorable picture of Beviek that Stel showed everybody, earlier?

Yeah… when she was a kid, with her cap guns….I think they were cap guns…..Did she really say something about blowing off her toe?

    Well, yeah…. I HOPE she was kidding……

Anyhow…. with the Monkey asleep on the fridge….I can go in his office….

    shhh…. if I tiptoe….

Did you ever see this one he keeps on the shelf by his desk?

He grew up in Texmunkas, you know….

And he had an outfit almost just like Bev’s!

    Cap guns?

    Gee…. I’m not sure….

Judging by yhe expression on Edward’s face, he’s either having a grand time, or he’s heading directly toward the Hamelshot’s oak tree.

Thanks for the Irish, Red. I kind of snuck in and out last night. Had some pressing business aboard my galleon, The Irish Rover. ( The iron wasn’t working at the house ).Edward asked me if he could come aboard and practice swinging from the rigging. I told Zippy ( that’s what my crew calls him ), definitely NOT! It’s bad enough when my seasoned sailors swing like simians ( no offense Munkey ) but Zippy could do some serious damage to either himself or someone else.

I think more than less of us resemble that remark.

I’m not sure how Edward is managing with feet behind him. I had a nice long Skype with my youngest son today (and his birds). Birds are such fun. His male bird retrieves his squeaky toys and will toss or alternately bring them back. The birds will have a bath tomorrow.

I tried some oregano oil in my tea last night (just bought on a whim yesterday, as I know it’s healthy and I have that blood draw on Monday coming up). Too intense tho’ (just 3 drops made the tea almost medicinal tasting). I’ll just stick to Hawthorne and Holy Basil tonight ;-D

I shared a link to a really good 1994 tape on fractals this morning on my FB. It’s an hour, but very worth watching if you like that sort of thing. I played with them a lot when they first came out in freeware, but now that I understand the concept and I’m seeing them in my dreams as well as meditations . . . I’m not promising my kind of dreams with those but it is written and narrated by Arthur C. Clarke and has many other scientists involved Colors of Infinity

The Mandlebrot video was fascinating, but over my head. Math is not my strong point. It reminds me of a kaleidoscope. Beautiful, infinitely fascinating.

Wow…. over 24 hours and I see that Edward is still at it…..though he may have taken a break while I was out.

He hasn’t been the same since the South Maple Avenue Coffee Klatch (SMACK) used the proceeds of the 2009 Bake Sale to build that four-block zipline.

He doesn’t even come to the Tiki Bar, since it’s half a mile from the last Zip Stop (the Halderson’s tallest honey locust tree.)

Good night, to everyone who went off to bed before I got here…..

Hello, to those who are still up….. and good morning to those who will poke their heads in later,

to see what’s happening when they get up Sunday morning.

Me…. I just travelled in from far Western Ballard County, dropped off my things in my salon, and now I’m checking in late for my night shift at the Tiki.

Hi Fenton…. good to see you, Sid…. how’s it going…..

    Oh, she was?

2old…. Fenton says you were waiting for me. Sorry I missed you…. and thanks.

This week is crazy… I should be earlier by Tuesday or so.

The bloody Marys are a great idea….

    Do come back!

But don’t worry about carrying the VitaMix, we have all kinds of blenders… (or grinders, as the Monkey calls them, and so do we, cos it’s his bar.)

I just stopped by the Tiki to see how everyone’s doing. Not really awake – need to go squeeze my lime.

Thanks, X – I just grazed that one (will read in depth later). I notice that Hawking had one quote here (and just a bit in Clarke’s piece) He was the one who still saw some limit to the possible iterations (and even there, admitted that we can not be sure to the smallest possible). And the extent on the larger side was not discussed.

@Shika (in spite of working in engineering, I’m not good at math either (only at theory – Logic and Geometry) but that is good for this application. I am doing a series of meditations currently with the unlikely pair of Deepak and Oprah via emails, and that has my mind open to many things.

My own visions took me back to fractals (just in the visual representation) before I watched the Clarke film or anything to confirm what I intuitively felt. Yes, I KNOW I’m a kook, and now I need my lime juice to wake up and then I’ll TRY to write another email to my lover to explain what I feel. Sometimes I think it’s no wonder he gets annoyed with me . . .

DAZZ, there are days when I likely would grasp the logic and math of fractals, but on these pain meds, all I see are lovely organically geometric designs.I am fascinated that you saw fractals in your meditations. I don’t watch Oprah, but have read some of Deepak Chopra’s books. I practice meditation of the Heart, and visions don’t come into play. Only love and peace, which is good enough for me.

SUSAN, do the ladies of SMACK realize that that word has, well, unsavory connotations on the streets outside of the Ballard Street confines? And, of course, unfortunate implications for Edward.

I keep missing everyone here. Munkey, how are you? I hope you weren’t too upset that Mua joined me at the Tiki and caused a little consternation on Fenton’s part by playing with his cap gun.Honestly, I had no idea he liked loud noises. Completely out of character for a cat. But then, Prince Mua is no ordinary cat.I see you worked very hard. Did you have a good sleep on the refrigerator? The hum of the motor must be soothing.

X_Tech, that piece on fractals was very interesting. I wish I understood more of it. I have Carl Sage ‘s book COSMOS. I must take it out again to read. Then I’ll return to fractals.

I just got back from Baronial Court and meeting (in a school playground on the West side of town). The plan was to throw water balloons and bags of ice etc. I got soaked on arrival by a sprinkler that hit me at the gate (OK, since I was wearing washable silk and cotton). The fractal connection to my meditations contributes to my pleasant dreams. Mine are not quite equal to these
