There was a point in time, though I cannot remember the period, when women of the higher classes purposely exposed a breast to show they were not breast feeding. It was quite the fashion and can be seen in paintings of the time.
I believe the baby wonât be king until 2176 the 22nd Century if I heard the story correctly. And heâll still be able to watch New episodes of Doctor WHO. âș
I was just reading a bio on QV and it said that she personally loathed the concept of breast-feeding and wasnât any too happy with the little rug-rats to begin with. When they got to a certain age (I forget), children were so much more attractive and she was able to deal with them. Other than her son, of course. (Oddly enough, she may have been breast-fed by her mother!)
Oh, I certainly hope she does get to nurse him â for at least six months! Itâs better for both the baby & the mother â but especially the baby. Physical health, mental/emotional health, IQ points â the works!

Just wondering, but not enough to look it up, whether bottle feeding was common back in the Victorian Age.
