    do they not have AC in the school? When my son was in 3rd grade they had to start school with the AC broken at his school and they had to have 2 fans in each room to keep them half way cool. they did have windows but not much relief. I agree school should not start until the weather changes to cooler.

    We only have AC in the offices. I took my daughter to orientation yesterday and we were dying. They don’t start till Sept 9th though so hopefully the weather is cool. They end at the end of June and its usually very hot then.

    I always thought someone had to be nuts to even suggest starting school in August. It’s the worst time of the year to do it. Not all schools have a/c either. They were geared for cold weather teaching. Not summer, except for maybe year round schools where kids can choose which two months they can have off.
