When all else fails……..

Every now and then, a good cry does the trick

Does it matter? The whole point was that John and the kids need to do their fair share around the house because it’s not fair to Elly to assume the burden of maintaining the house on top of doing her day job, whether she gets paid for it or not.

I wouldn’t expect this to last. He may help for a day or two and that will be it. Or his “help” will not be up to snuff because he won’t really be trying. The old male passive-aggressive game of doing a lousy job so he can get out of it.

Tell me one good reason 2 get married. Don’t give me that love crap. You can be in love and be single.

For those of you who believe in evolution, don’t forget! The males are ‘hard wired’ to be hunter gatherers. The women ‘hard wired’ to tend the hearth! Picture your belief that homosexual’s are ‘hard wired’ & apply it here.

If men have it so good then why are men choosing not to get married a an increasing rate?

Is he home, too, on the days she’s home? Who “helps out” on the days they’re both home?One way to help the new arrangement last is to list the chores, then take turns choosing them – so each person does the ones less burdensome to him/her. It also minimizes arguments, and gives each person some satisfaction over what she/he doesn’t have to do.And work is work, whether paid or not.

I cried once to get my husband to help. He was being an unreasonable jerk, expecting me to take care of our newborn 100% with no breaks (he has NEVER changed a diaper and he’s done ONE feeding and has never gotten up at night) and then he’d get mad when I wanted him to help me with dinner (not like he was doing anything else, working part time and playing video games were his ONLY activities). I cried and he helped me maybe twice. I consider it a good deal considering I didn’t expect him to help me at all. He still feels persecuted, though.

Crying is not feminist logic – it’s frustration when all logic fails because of antiquated attitudes like RedBaron38 who devalue everything that a woman does.

You ask us to think of how she makes Michael and Lizzie feel – ask yourself how he makes Michael and Lizzie feel! I’d say their refusal to do chores is a direct reflection of his refusal. They treat their mother like a maid because he treats her like a maid.

Women cry when all else has failed and the next step would be homicide.

And in all of the comments, except for Dr. Toon, I haven’t seen a man speak up except to belittle the “cry.” I think it is wrong to use crying, but it is a cyring shame some men won’t cooperate in the “partnership” without coercion.

After I did a lot of work outside and came in and took a shower, my husband had lunch ready for me! How sweet is that? ♥
