Little dog’s got heart…a badger couldbe larger than him, with a dangerousbite. But that’s Wally was bred for. :)

Really amazing, how Dachshunds were originallybred to scent out, track and ummm….. “do under”badgers. :) Their bodies are designed for it; cylindrical body shape, for burrowing, wide pawsfor very efficient digging, long snout for breathingin burrows, relatively deep bark for a littledog to locate them while burrowing, even longpointed tail to pull him out. They have avery fierce, courageous heart and are notafraid to tackle much larger (badger) opponents. I like wally, he has all the above. Plus, he’scute. :)

Apparently Wally thinks badgers look a lot like doors.

Plus badgers can be fierce and have a dangerousbite. Jaws made to lock into their prey, and theycan run around 40 lbs, depending.

Old Sarge-stop killing groundhogs!! Everything on this earth has a purpose. Typical, if it gets in the humans way it must die. :-(
