I remember (when school always started the day after Labor day) that as soon as the Jerry Lewis Telethon came on, that it was definitely dwindling down to the last hours, because the very next day (Tuesday), was the “big” day….
Here in KS school has already started. Classrooms equipped with a/c. Biggest school buses no a/c. 8/14. I actually like some of the commercials. Especially the little girl says year of the arm and raises her arm with a determine face. Any others have favorite commercials for school.
Oh and in KS school would start a week before Labor Day school superintendent changed days to earlier with heat plans to get out earlier two weeks before. And since been a rainy summer thankfully KS need the rain. Not sure how snowy winter will be.
I remember looking at our calendar at home in the kitchen, and thinking towards the middle of August, just WHERE has the summer gone?! Still get that feeling…short summer, lonnnggg winter! (Autumn and Spring aren’t long enough!) ;)

You can dodge the commercials, but you can’t dodge the date!… Well, theoretically…..

In Escambia County we’re finishing up our second week today.-still, miss the “DENIM” singer for Target commercials from a couple of years back.

Doesn’t that child ever sit upright? If they draw him in the future he will have poor posture.
