Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Tarzan speaks all the languages of Africa and Europe, plus Latin and Ape; sheāll be translated into English for our convenience. And itās been a while since weāve seen Tarzan fight a crocodile, so I guess heās due.
Well of course sheās a Fair Maiden. Does Tarzan rescue any other kind? I donāt think Iāve ever seen Tarzan rescue any old, ugly broad from a river or any other place.
This must be the Johnny Weissmuller period of Tarzan, where there was always at least one scene showing his olympic swimming ability . To me, Weissmuller was the first āmethodā actor (long before Brando), in that one could really believe that he had been raised in the jungle by apes.
Personally, I thought the Ron Ely Tarzan was a bit too civilized.I liked the primitave Tarzan, but I grew up in a world where hokey-smokey was more tolerated. Hey, thatās all we hadā¦.haha
Celardoās artwork is excellent today, very exciting with lots of (imagined) action we all enjoy. Can you imagine Tarzanās surprise when he looks up from the croc and seesā¦..JANE! Anyway, another blonde rescued by our jungle hero with more trouble around the bend! :)> GordonScottBestTarzanAGowa!!
When I was growing up, it was Lex Barker, a little more civilized (and English-speaking) than Weissmuller.(Of course, I still have a copy of the āTarzan And His Mateā movie.
