Okay, flag time! Who’s with me?

I don’t want to lose friends who are dear to me but bore me to death with their interest in and talk about gardens…so I stayed my hand as I was about to share today’s strip with them.

Gardening bores me too, Charlie. I’ll let the farmers do that and I’ll eat it…if I like it.

One zucchini when I went to bed, 50 when I got up. Some night I will sit up or have a night camera…..

I’m thinking no garden at all next year. Between the deer, fungi, voles and bugs I got about 12 edible potatoes out of the whole venture.

I’m thinking of covering all the beds with plastic and leaving them all lightless and fallow until March 2015.

I had to look at the first panel speech balloon twice. At first I thought it was the rabbits telling Charley what to grow and not grow!
