Alice: These are the new bat ears that my mom made! Dill: I thought they were bedroom slippers. Alice: No, they're cute, fuzzy pink bat ears. Dill: If they were bedroom slippers, you'd get more candy on Halloween. Alice:THEY'RE BAT EARS! Dill: People would feel so awkward about a child with bedroom slippers on her head, they'd throw candy at her just so she'd leave. Beni: It would be pity candy. Nobody wants pity candy.

I’ll take pity candy especially if it’s chocolate. When older kids come to the door and say ‘Trick or treat’, I tell them I’ll take a treat. They usually don’t get it.
