Oh man, I was really hoping that Mark just forgot the ‘stay tooned’ sign on Saturday’s strip and the story line would be continued this week after such an intriguing cliffhanger. Bummer. Way to force us to continue reading this strip Mr. Tatulli. Well played. clap, clap, clap.
There are many ways it could have been continued. E.g. Heart or Dean having seen something in the cellar that made them suspicious of the story and they only pretended to believe it. Or one of their friends overheard the troupe’s conversation and told them about it. Or Dead researched something about the history of the building and found out that there is something fishy. etc. etc. etc.

I could be he wanted to interrupt the story for a tribute to summer’s end. We’ll know tomorrow.
