I’m reading this on GoComics; it’s already too late.

The QR code actually does take you to the Doonesbury page at slate.com. However, they aren’t smart enough to put up a smartphone version, so it’s unreadable unless you want to spend your time mushing it around with your fingers. Fingerpainting, anyone?

Paper. Would that be a newspaper? One of those things where you put money in a box and then lift the door up and pull out white sheets of paper with ink on them?

My niece has lived in France for four years, Sweden for the last three years, both, I believe, single payer countries. She had a broken arm in France, a baby in Sweden. She said her care in both places was great.

I live in one of those “dozens of countries” — Canada. I don’t know of anybody who has been refused timely treatment (as in life-threatening conditions take precedence over cosmetic surgery.) Many of the Canadians I have known have had serious medical issues which were dealt with promptly and thoroughly. I personally know nobody who has any real complaint with the Canadian system.

Forget trying to convince fools of the facts. All they care about are their beloved Feces News talking points.

I have a niece and several friends in the British Isles, a sister who has lived for many years in Victoria BC, and had an internet acquaintance who was then living in Denmark.

Pretty much ALL of them at one time or another have expressed sympathy at my living in the US where we don’t have access to their health care systems.

Even my father, a career AF officer and veteran of WWII, couldn’t get more than rudimentary care from VA doctors and had to buy expensive private insurance on top of his Medicare.

Jnik and Rugeirn…. you just need to download one of many QR code scanner apps (free on Android, dunno about IOS)…open it and point it at the code.

This one works fine on my smartphone… picked it up right off my monitor. I don’t understand, Rugeirn, what you mean about the difference in codes for phones as opposed to those for any other device.

Android uses Google Play. Most of the QR apps are free.

What in the world is a Momser? Looks like you misspelled a word you don’t actually know the meaning of.
