It is a slippery slope and fast fall to the dark side of HR. Avoiding phone calls, screening all contacts, propping up the MAN and and his evils ways of creating an Empire.
As a Mad Scientist. I Had had to RIF all the serfs but one due to HR rules.
Ten years later, and now you admit that Rita is a dominatrix. But since the GoComics archives only go back to 2011, nobody has enough evidence of this cruelty.
I never saw HR. I would walk into a business with my scrapbook of 32 years of work, and the secretary would say they are not hiring. So in 4 and a half years no one ever looked at my photos.
I am so glad that I never actually made the leap to HR. It was a close thing, but I decided I liked working with different people every day (retail management) rather than having to do desk duty most days. Though I will say that retail management is just as soul-sucking. Only in another way. :-)

You need Human Resources people because there are some things even laboratory rats won’t do.

We’ve made no secrets of Rita’s dominating ways. My god man we’ve shown her with a whip and a cobra…

Looks like Sue needs a mentoring session or two with Catbert to rid herself of that pesky soul problem she has.

One of our higher end hotels/restaurants just got caught avertizing for an intern. Unpaid of course. The position? Busboy.
