The Grass Skiing World Cup concluded in Switzerland in August 2013. The sport, invented in Germany in the 1960s, uses skis with tank like threads! Highly illogical!! Klingon Romulan Klingon Court and Romulan Court or two streets it meet at an intersection in Sacramento, California. They were named in 1977 by civil engineer and Star Trek fan, Ted Colbert. Was that a good deal? In 1674, the Dutch swapped Manhattan Island with the British for tiny Run Island in the Indian Ocean- area 1 square mile.

Too bad the Dutch did not keep Manhattan, it would have been a much more attractive and livable, a real town like it used to be.

I’ll bet the Dutch thought it was a great deal at the time. I would guess it was to reduce costs for their trading and exports.

At the time Run Island was the better part of the bargain as it was the source of Nutmeg.
