Yes, this is a way kitties show affection. My aunt’s kitty would sleep on top of my aunt’s pillow at night with just her little kitty paws touching my aunt’s head. When my aunt fell ill and was bedridden the kitty never left the pillow until my aunt was asleep and then the kitty ate and drank just a little, used her “box”, and returned to the position on the pillow. When my aunt passed away, the kitty crept off the pillow without anyone speaking to or touching her. I still cry when I tell others about that wonderful cat. And yes, I loved today’s script and LOL. Thanks guys!

Oh I don’t know MayKitten. I have known dogs that are super affectionate that will show it many ways without the dry leg hump. A little dog that curled at my grandmothers feet because her feet were cold and he warmed her feet. A little dog that somehow knew exactly where my mom or dad were hurting and she would curl up and lay right on the spot that hurt and just look at them and they got to feeling better. A little dog that would lay beside me and kiss me when i was sick or very upset and just love me. Dogs will go above and beyond to show love and affection for the human that cares for them. All the cats I have know would just as soon scratch us as look at us. Unless you count my last cat. But then he thought he was a full sized panther with the mentality of a dog.

At one job I had, we had a Siamese cat who would meet me at the door every morning when I opened up. He would climb aboard and ride around on my shoulders while I Made the morning coffee. He wouldn’t dismount until I sat down to enjoy my coffee. This was fine when temperatures were cool enough to require a jacket, but in summer, when I was wearing only a t-shirt, the claws made things interesting, to say the least.

I’ve heard that cats will sleep just about anywhere, but this is a new one for me.

I understand that a lot of a cat’s attitude is based on the first couple of months of life and on the mother cat’s attitude.

Sorry, but no. Dog humping is a way of showing dominance. You shouldn’t let them do that.
