They must not have a DVR recorder then.

Just be thankful you don’t have to turn the knob on the set Nelson.

I’ve been known to try that, Nelson. We usually pre-record so if something’s awful we can bail on it.

Mark, that’s what I thought when I read Llewellenbruce’s comment. Most people don’t know the ‘R’ stands for recorder.

“Gramma, tell me about the Olden Days.” How many times did I ask that? These days, when I’m asked, the kid means before the year 2000. Incredible.

@alittlebirdieReminds one of the Federal Express transition… They shortened the name to FedEx (so today’s sound bite minds could remember it). Now, some of their trucks say “FedEx Express” which translates as Federal Express Express.

I had to withdraw some money from the ATM machine to buy my DVR Recorder. I usually watch MLB Baseball live though.

When I was his age. We didnt have dvrs. We had vcrs. Jf you wanted to record a show you had to find a blank tape and record. Then had to wait til it was over to watch the show/movie. If you record shows kver other shows enough times, the picture will be bad.

Olden days: my brother, age 6, asked my mother if she remembered knights in shining armor. I don’t remember her answer.

Who watches anything in real time anymore? That would require watching commercials! ha ha

I often want to skip over adverts too. All I do is just turn the sound off or turn the channel for a few minutes and then switch back to the channel I had on.
