A bag of bags is also good to take to a thrift store who could use those bags to carry the customers’ purchases.

I take my bags to the recycle bin at Walmart.

They’re talking about those “unwanted eclaires” Roscoe.

I use them to pick up after my German shepherds. Caution: Always double-bag, as one of them will invariably have a hole in it!!!!!!!

I don’t think our dog Pongo thinks past the work “walk.” That’s all he wants.

In Austin, Tx they’ve outlawed plastic bags. Our friends in other towns hoard them for us~~

I make plarn out of mine. I’m currently working on a rug!

I usually give them to the food pantry so that the people will be able to carry the food home easier.

When Nozzi breaks into neighbor’s homes puts the plastic bags over the door handles so they don’t leave any fingerprints. Cheaper than gloves.

I confess to being a trash bag hoarder. I use them to line my trash cans and waste baskets and for a myriad of other things. Makes it a lot easier to take the garbage out or the bathroom trash. But plastic bags, like coat hangers, have a way of multiplying while you’re not looking and disappearing when you are, It’s not that I’m cheap, I’m just thrifty ! I even wash and reuse my freezer and zip-lock storage bags.

I too am a shopping bag hoarder. I use them to line bathroom trash cans, for putting hubby’s lunch in for work, to put kitchen food scraps into (our garbage disposal is on the fritz), and for putting used cat litter. Even using them as small trash bags for the bedroom too.

Doughnuts not for doggies…….oh, go on then.

Jo Clear, in my state you cannot put any plastic bags in the recycle bin. They say it contaminates the recyclables. Some states, not mine, are also banning grocery stores from packaging your groceries in plastic bags. I read somewhere that the plastic doesn’t break down very easily at the landfill. Some cities make their citizens use the city-brand of recyclable bags. The homeowner has to pay for them, of course.

I found some reusable bags that fold up and clip to my purse so that I don’t have to even think about them until I’m at the checkout counter. They’ve lasted at least 5 years so far, and they’re really handy. I did save plastic bags before I did this and still save plastic fruit/veggie bags – they come in handy.
