Yup, that’s the way I had it figured. Mr. S. wants to do a strip about a big dog and his dumb owner instead of the G.A. we old folks remember.

And I guess that I just don’t know……

I guess they only had Gretchen in the strip just so they introduce the new dog character.

Put him in the dog pound, Slim.

Is “Giacomo” the Italian word for “Marmaduke”?

98% of dog owners are bad neighbors. They don’t seem to hear the constant barking!!!

We all knew it. Slim has had big dogs before who are now in doggie heaven. The dog loves Slim. After all, he has been the one feeding him.

Only one explanation why Jim S writes a strip that makes as little sense as it does; He thinks his readers are as dumb as his cartoon characters.

If I wanted Marmaduke, I would read Marmaduke. Time to move on to a more interesting plot line.

Not once did Gretchen use the word please. That dog would be on the plane with her, she can find a dog-sitter when she gets to Italy.
