The biggest step (See what I did there?) one can take to control foot odor is to never put shoes on after walking around in socks or bare feet. Not even one step. Better yet, never walk around in socks or bare feet in the first place. That’s what house shoes are for. I’m wearing a pair of slides right now.

while stepping in something nasty is possible, the real reason shoes smell is because feet sweat – damp, warm environments attract fungus and mold. keep feet clean and dry, wear open sandals for healthy feet.

Well, hey – if that philodendendron is all that valuable, John … maybe we should rethink this relationship …

I used to have this problem. Badly. Then I used Odor Eaters, for years, and that works. But they work best when feet and socks are kept clean. Being a bit OCD, I started taking strict measures to keeps things clean, and always insisted on having my Oder Eaters. Then I found myself in a position where I couldn’t afford them, and really didn’t have room for them in my new shoes anyway. Turns out, I didn’t need them anymore. I can keep shoes until they literally start to fall apart…absolutely no offensive odor.

Those strict measures start when getting out of the shower. No stepping on floor, or “community” bath mat. I throw my used towel down and step on that. Dry feet, powder them, put on socks, and either step into house-shoes or put on street shoes.

Every body is commenting on foot odor when the big picture here is John can’t seem to keep his foot out of his mouth. How much longer is he going to keep being so insensitive?
