When Randy’s optimism (however misguided) is in full bloom, no wimpy cartridges will do.

Ball point pens are completely out of the question.

Fountain pens that I remember held enough to write for an hour. (but it HAS been a long time (for that TOO);-DI should not be up so late (crazy day- rose at 10 and had supper at almost 7). Now it’s past bedtime but definitely going to have a bath – LOVE the all silk top sheet I’m using right now and I’ve been writing stuff for . . .

My dear middle son called today (about the recent email where I asked daughter to stay here a few days after my operation- I always copy the other kids so they know what I’m up to). He not only offered to help by coming in her place, but even with some of the cost. It is MY elective tho’ so I should do that. The doctor insists that someone be here or they will make me stay additional days in facility.

Mornin’ Ballardeers. Hope you all had a good weekend, I understand things got a bit raucous at the caucus in the Tiki Bar Saturday. I’m sure Susan and Munky handled it all with their usual finesse. At any rate, I’m sure Bev will tell us all about it in Stel’s latest edition of Ballard Life.I’ll be around ( sort of ) today and tomorrow, then go in Wed. for the eye operation that was postponed from last week, From what the doctor told me, I’m going to be somewhat out of commission for a few days after that – no reading, internet, or t.v. for a bit. Speaking of reading, if anyone knows the secret to enlarging the print on GoComics ( especially the comment section ) please let me know. I am really straining the good eye, just to read, let alone type.Have a Marvelous Monday and I’ll be back in a little bit.

Fantastic, a wonderful weekend of rest, play, resolution and Shirley made pie. Some Monday’s are just more glorious than others and this is one for the record book. Football was great, the lawn is green, Rusty Boy took himself to the park and after an hour chasing Ms Millie came home on his own. The boss started his vacation, most of the office called in sick, its meatloaf day at the cafeteria, the sun is shinning, the stars are aligned, the migration to the south has begun, the market is up, its bowling night, the cleaners called – my costume is ready, I’m running fast on a smooth track, the final page was turned, the chapter is finished. Now with a stroke of pure genius, the confidence of a predator on the prowl, through the vision of the ages, the pen moving mountains, the rise of the empire and the destiny of the corporate quarter in hand, fate sealed and hour upon us, stand back, this is going to be really good this time.

They will sing of the exploits(ink spots?) of Randy the Bold… or not.

@ Susan2:47 is perfect, and the volcano only spews on alternate Fridays, so a small moat is sufficient I guess. We are off at 11:00am tomorrow so ALOHA until Wednesday, don’t do anything fun until then.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 and consider it one of the best investments, computer-wise, I’ve ever made – especially, down here. Beats my laptop for versatility, etc. I don’t have a problem viewing GoComics on that because I can expand. The problem ( which is quite recent ) is that somehow – only on GoComics, the font has shrunk to 12px which makes it tough with only one good eye to read the comments and/or respond. I know there is a way to permanently enlarge but I’m not sure how. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and how it can be resolved. As I said, this is only a problem with GoComics and a recent one ( 2 weeks ).
