That’s funny i had an eye exam Yesterdai, too!Just a slight astigmatism and a mild prescription. But i’ll be-able to see Leaves on Trees again. Can focus super-close, read no prob; just for Cycling, Hiking and Disc Golf really.
The temps are lower now and getting wet and cold don’t mix, not well anyway.
Gezz-oo-und-ite !
-Drove an old warhorse to VA for his eye appointment. He said the doc told him bad news; the vision in his right eye wont get better. He tells me that it is hazy; started going that way about a year ago. Big stumbling block as Ed is an avid reader. Left eye is still good and he was told not to drive at night which he pretty much doesn’t do anyway. -We got to the hospital plenty early and got lunch at the cafe in the basement before going up for the exam. Cold and dreary today. -Wishing you a sneezeless Wednesday from a way ovah heah. ____________________________________________
I’m sorry to hear that. Glad he got it checked out though. What sort of books does he read? I’m a big reader too and when I read too much then my eyes start to get tired and I have to rub them.-It’s been cold and dreary here too. But that’s England for you.-I only sneeze 2 or 3 times a day now. I’m not looking forward to allergy season coming round again but that’s ages away from now so I’m going to forget about it.-I hope you are well!
my gramma’s house in Portland had a pump on the kitchen sink. I hated getting my hair washed, cause the water was cold. She had a big, claw foot tub, but my mom only put an inch or two of water in so i wouldn’t drown! she also had a wood stove in the kitchen, started the oatmeal then night before and no fridge, just a “cool cupboard”. I now wonder why her sons didn’t remodel the kitchen? Maybe she liked it like that! This was in the 40s.
would never live in Pueblo or Colorado Springs again…but Green Mountain Suburb of Denver was pretty cool…not far to the Coors place and not far to Boulder…and not far to the bowling place that also has pinball, pool and a great bar and restuarant…Centennial Lanes…just remembered its name…loved taking a break from studies, worries about pregnancy (yes’m, thats where my son came into being…)…lots of good memories of Denver and its environs…U of C @ Denver, my alma mater, has my heart and donations…and Boulder is where we went to party…the falls there and the druggist’s were amazing….especially those who specialized in purple microdot…lmao….no offense, Gweedo, but they endymnified themselves with the micro dot…it was excellent…wish my brain could handle it these days, in a way that is…but probably not…am too old for psychogenics I think, if not, then I am there!
So that’s where it came from. We had the PMD in ‘Nam. Nothing like the light show from a rocket attack.
Monday’s Andy was excellent. So funny and I would have said the same thing at one time.
I’m gonna be family busy for an unknown length of time. My mother-in-law has been all but diagnosed with oral cancer. She’s been dipping powdered snuff for about seventy years and we are awaiting the outcome of the biopsy. She still won’t let it go. All prayers are appreciate. I’ll be in and out and I’ll try to have something positive. Love y’all.
Alcohol gave me obesity and a Hernia and i quit — for a while.Alcohol gave me a D.U.I., a Criminal Record and a financial Nightmare and i quit — for a while.Alcohol gave me HBP, a Hospital stay and a life-ending scare. It took THAT to get the point acrost that Alcohol is a Killer.

Not only is it unfunny, it’s pointless… truly one of the worst strips in the 125 year history of the comics

If these guys had any integrity, instead of submitting a piece of dreck like this they would just say “Hey Boss, we got nothing. Slip in a rerun”.
