Shabbat shalom, Susan! Yeah i’ve had this GUN to my Head alot lately, too! a psyche-Rock “Chestnut” (1968) AND the first Roger Dean Cover, to-boot. They later enlisted-in Ginger Baker’s “Baker Gurvitz Army”.
Gweedo Murray said, about 17 hours agoThanks !It can even snow in September. There will be nice uncommonly warm sunny days ahead yet. We got Heather’s tv working earlier. A friend of hers came over and they went to Best Buy and bought a digital to analog converter box so she could get off the air signals. She doesn’t use it enough to go to all the expense of a monthly cable bill. Her tv is the older kind. It gets 15 channels and has good to great reception on all of them, that I could tell. He hooked it up and figured it out, so now she knows what to do.__________________________________________________
That’s awesome. It sounds like she’s got a great friend and a great neighbour. To be honest, I’ve kind of gone off watching TV. I only watch it for the animated shows like Family Guy, American Dad and Beavis & Butthead.-I mostly do web surfing and submitting my ‘words of wisdom’ right here on GoComics which beats TV any day in my opinion.-I hope your weekend got off to a great start!
Sorry to be so late…specifically came on a little before 1 am this morning (on my way to the potty…lol…) to post and the new strip wasnt up yet…I have company this weekend, and yesterday was my sons birthday (41 and no, I cant believe he is that old…I still see him on his first day of school…sigh.. ) We went out to dinner last night, and then met him, my daughter in law and grandson for breakfast at a deli that is about halfway between our homes and then went to the farmers market, where my bff bought so many flowers it was tuff filling the suv with all of us, the produce and cheese, and then all the flowers…she just hadnt seen them at a farmers market like we have here in Chicago…now I am going to go take an old lady nap…lol…the family is coming for dinner later, and right now, me and my new knee need a break..WELCOME HOME NUMBER 6 !!!
In theory, linc-to22 Horse Racing related Thumbnails of Reginald Smythe Art. Each thumbnail zooms to a Photocopy of Reg’s submission to The Mirror, replete with several sets of annotation. See Andy Capp actual drawn by an Artist, Reg. . . . only one Horse tho.

“You can tell these strips were done not long before Smythe’s death; the lines have gotten thick (poor eyesight) and the characters bloated looking,” …yadda yadda…
Of course they’re bloated ! They have some added padding with age. ^^Actually, I was being honest, in all my years of studying comics, I have seen the way that most cartoonist’s work deteriorates as the artist ages, and, unless they die young, you see the same traits as those I’ve mentioned.

I bet Andy’s not the only miffed one; the other would be the horse’s jockey.

Sort of a ‘Rimshot’ Strip; “BA-da, dump dump”.
Andy’s keen on opening time; sot-so much Quid-ing time.

Alright Gweedo! I saw your comment last night to me! What can I say, I’m shy?

I’ll try and do better, Gweedo! I feel like I’m “horning in” though. :-)
