Read a partial explanation of the song once. Weasel is cockney slang for overcoat, pop means to pawn. When the money’s gone the coat gets pawned. Forget the rest.

My kid wants a mongoose, and she asked me what it is, I told her it’s like a ferret. Then she asked what’s a ferret? So then I told her it’s like a weasel. And of course she asks me what’s a weasel? Finally I told her that it’s like a rat.

Definitely “Cobbler’s bench”. Mulberry Bush is another rhyme.
