Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today after early Church, (where we left two large flower arrangements with instructions to return my vases) my son took us out for a ride on a boat on Lake Michigan, where we were served a beautiful Prime Rib Buffet. Ruth and I ate some, but left most of it alone. We looked at each other, read each others minds, and laughed due to the groaning we were both thinking about internally…seems all we have done is eat! (or shop to cook, or running around for extras to enliven events) I hope my son enjoyed this weekend as much as we did. Tomorrow these two old ladies are taking a break, and other than doing a bit of cleaning, we are going to lounge around and just read, or play some gin rummy and only eat salads and maybe a leftover meatloaf sandwich. There wasnt much of it left! Ruth makes a meatloaf that is so good that I have never seen or tasted one to be its equal. Got mine beat all to Oregon and back. Tuesday we plan on hitting Macys and driving salesladies nuts and having to hire a cab just for the packages…lol…trying to get a lot of Christmas shopping out of the way before snow flies, and people starting being moody and grabby (not to mention crabby!) Hope they have Christmas gift wrap in the wrapping department already. Have a great Monday in spite of it being … well, Monday!

Mornin’ Cappers ! I’m back ( sort of ). Today’s strip merits no comment. Eye operation went very well – although it is still very tender and I’m extremely sensitive to light – and for the first time in years, I can see sharply with both eyes.I still have to take it easy, so although I’m here, I will have to limit my computer time for a while. All I can say is, it is good to be back and thanks for your concerns and prayers.

Ruth just took my blood pressure and told me to get off the computer. She said my face was so red, that she got out her portable blood pressure machine and took mine. NO one attacks Bev, Ling, PColli and ESPECIALLY a grieving son such as Number 6, without incurring some pretty bad karma. As a Zen Buddist, she surely knows what Karma is. Just so you know, SIX and the CAPPERS have held up well under attack, but I do agree with one thing our adversary has said. No more replies or comments to him or her (she’s “no gentleman”?) I hope you see this Six. I’m glad to see you have the fire and spunk again. Things will only improve.

We go tomorrow morning to see the ENT for my mother-in-law. He’ll have the biopsy results as well as the CT scan and chest x-ray. Pray folks. She’s starting to lose some of her spunk. I think it’s sinking in that the snuff she loves may just snuff her. I hope not. She was right there for me when I had my back surgery. But I was getting better. I don’t know if she will. She beat lymphoma a few years back. Sorry to be so down. I’ll come back with happy stuff later.
