I have a digital clock that automatically changes for DST, but since 2007, on the second Sunday of March, and the first Sunday of November i STILL have to change the hour setting. It’s trivial, but still a pain in the A…
Once was in a bar during “fall back”. Bartender managed to stay open until 6 A.M. before a friendly Policeman stopped in to ask why the ’legal" 3 A.M. closing was disregarded.
Look, the whole idea of making DST the new standard time year round is just plain stupid. Noon is when the sun is at the middle of the arc through the sky. Instead of renaming it so that it is called 1 PM, schedules should be rearranged as necessary to avoid the problems. It is not necessary to rename 7 AM as 8 AM just so you can say that you are starting some activity an hour later than you really are! A year-round time is certainly better than messing up everyone’s biological clocks twice a year, but call it what the sun indicates, rather than this illogical idea of using DST year round.

You are right – go to DST, then no more changing the time!

I prefer the time change. Keeps my son from having to go to school in the dark.

Janis, why don’t you just get up earlier? Arlo might help, if you provide sufficient stimulus!

I’m with you. Still it is a pain having to change the clocks twice a year. Being retired, I have better things to do.

Looks like a Gothic castle, complete with lightning. The vampires, werewolves, and other beasties are in the previous panel.

I agree. It would be nice to have daylight savings all the year.
