.. I..um …. do admit I’m confused….. It’s 8 in the morning at your end of Ballard Street….the sun battling bravely, no doubt, to begin its brief appearance in the Scottish day…
They have always done that.Part of being owned by them.Every so often you have to practice your chasing and capturing skills. Other wise the dog will never respect you.
The only dog I’ve ever cared for was his (given “to his kids” by his sister who liked his ex-wife because she knew I was not a dog person). Tippy and I got along just fine and she appreciated the fact that I took more time with her food and dryed her off well when he made her swim laps in the pool on chilly days. I taught her the difference between fetching a toy or her food bowl.
And the game is on. Amazing how Marge and Stan play every time, without fail. Scooter actually has this down to a science. Sly and calculating, he has well defined the difference between precision and accuracy. He has formulated the ratio of calories to activity and emotional intensity to anxiety. Steadfast, steady and ever ready, he waits until they have crossed the threshold, mission accomplished, the sigh of relief, the anticipated end zone celebration all dashed by another surge forward, just a few yards glimpsing back and then around the corner, poised at the alley waiting to see the expressions on their faces, can they take another ten minutes without putting the treats in jeopardy? They will never believe he knows, but he does.
…….yawn, that was a late nite…..yawn, I’m just getting up, 10am here, the party was so much fun, you guys sure know how to throw one! Owww, my head hurts? what did I drink last nite?
@Essex, Scooter’s daily vitamin and lime juice program don’t forget the exercise (lime juice is for waking up because caffeine does nothing as well as being forbidden)@Shika, you understood dogs well yes, I understand most wild animals but generally prefer only to care for the birds.@Stel, That series was fab. Another work of art. Between here and SCA I know lots of very talented people. Some of the health newsletters have recently been encouraging more backyard chickens, but I only have one friend who does that (I met them during a class in making lye soap).

Among other prizes pending after Number Six’s birthday party….StelBel and Number Six, himself, were vying for the “Least Sleep” award.
Winner, when final minutes are tallied, will receive a brand new coffee or tea cup….

Scooter knows how much his human parents need exercise. He’s always glad to assist them, with his personal fitness training program.

Cuddles would chase Tippy off the couch if Tippy tried to stay there with her master. A Labrador like that is no match for a cockatoo.

Everyone is hung over. But there is hope, because STEL has a coffee/tea cup. That should set the tone.
