Amazon now offers an option on a lot of their products of “frustration-free” packaging. And I wonder: who thought people would ever want FRUSTRATING packaging in the first place???

There are actually thousands of emergency room visits every year that are attributable to attempts to open packaging. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrap_rage
(That article also suggests that one can open the hard formed plastic with a can opener. That had never occurred to me before; definitely going to try it!)
