Rex Morgan – I don’t think Buck and his wife like each other very much. ;-)Judge Parker – Now, that’s an interesting development.Crankshaft – I agree with Ed on this one.
Judge Parker – Finally, some action. Maybe we’ll get some answers. I’ve enjoyed the suspense.Rex Morgan – Not a good relationship. Being unemployed has badly affected Buck’s self-esteem and he’s making bad decisions.A3G – Marty hasn’t been totally corrupted by her “friend”. She will probably call Luann, interrupting plans to attend the governor’s ball.Crankshaft – Mary seems too good to be true. What exactly does she mean by recycling toilet paper? Nice of these kids to clean up, but what are the kids who did the t.p,ing learning from this? That they can get by with vandalism and nothing will happen to them.
Oh-Oh! I think I have too much time on my hands. Actually, there’s plenty to do, I’m just not doing it.
REX MORGAN: I hope June isn’t jealous that Rex once had a date with Buck’s wife. Nice to hear how Niki and Summer’s daughter are doing.
MARY WORTH: I would imagine that when a cartoonist draws a certain locale, (like NY department stores) they have to visit the place. Is that a business expense?
BTW my Bingo group in Miami asked me to buy a new Bingo set in NY because the numbers on the Bingo balls from Toys-R-Us always fade. They asked me to look at FAO Schwartz. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Rex Morgan – Yak, yak, yak.Judge Parker – Oooooooo. In that last panel, look at those eyes!Crankshaft – And this actually happens more times than you might realize.Mandrake – So, is there a connection between the little red-haired girl and the 12 redheads?Prince Valiant – Terrific artwork!Sally Forth – Yeah. The department stores will play Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bells, but they’re afraid to play Silent Night or Joy to the World because they’re afraid some pinko commie will sue them. We used to have Freedom of Speech in this country.
Judge Parker – Where in that dress does she keep the knife. Is she lying? She definitely noticed the white hat, but may not have known her name.Rex Morgan – I felt sure we would hear more about Summer and Kelly eventually.Mary Worth – I don’t think the art in this strip is ever close to reality. Surprised that they are using names of actual department stores.Prince Valiant – Practicing what craft? Witchcraft? I need to do some research on the Druids…later.
JUDGE PARKER: @ marvee – I’m guessing April had the knife in a thigh holster. Who is the “We” the guy in the suit is referring to….?ALLEY OOP: Doc’s copy of Mary’s book looks like a real tome; however, in checking I find that most copies of the novel are from just over 200 pages to 350 pages depending on the edition. FUNKY W: Les finds a reason to appreciate the end of DST.

REX MORGAN: Buck is not living in reality. Why would he invite Rex over for expensive steak if his credit card is maxed out?
APT3G: Is Martty having a change of heart about leaving her father?
MARY WORTH: Shall I stop reading this strip for a few weeks or months…or YEARS?

CRANKSHAFT: And the other Tom Batiuk strip is also about the fall-back end of DST. Whoops.
