Wally: Want to know what I was just thinkin' about, Thorny?
Wally: Do you think light beer weighs less than regular beer?
Brutus: You're a very weird person, Wally!
Using a Hydrometer you will find the density of beer does in fact vary. The few I have brewed at home had a range, so in fact they will have a weight difference. Very little per glass, but perhaps noticeable in the keg .
C’mon you guys, light beer refers to color. All amber colored beers are “light”, dark beer is called ale. Light beer and dark beer both weigh the same. (kidding obviously)

Yes, light beer is less dense. There is less alcohol dissolved in the water making it lighter than regular beer.

So what weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of lead?
