Opal should realize she only has to do Earl’s laundry once a year.

They smell the same too.

I can name two to three people (also fictional) who have identical wardrobe: the “Peanuts” characters, Jon Arbuckle and Ernest P. Worrell.

Earl is a lot smarter than I thought!

It was a blue shirt yesterday.

And here, all this time, I just blamed the cartoon colorist !

Just think of all that old man smell permeating the house.

Careful, Earl. Steer her thoughts away from your shoes. The Krazy Glue can hide only so much.

Khaki pants. They make life SO much simpler.

And there it is in a nutshell—the problem with so many marriages and the women in them. Good wives in happy marriages accept and love their husbands as they are, and do not try to turn them into someone else, someone that conforms to their idea of the ideal husband. As long as Earl and his shirt are fresh and clean, Opal should worry only about her own clothes.

It’s a waste of breath nagging Earl, Opal.

Except for Earls hair they would be just like my Mom and Dad! I love them!
