Good morning, Vagabonds Last night I attended the Chanukah candle lighting (6th night) at North Miami City Hall. I posed with the mayor (although the photo was dark) and, since she was born in Haiti, we had a conversation in French. I’m surprised I remembered that much French..
Good morning Vagabonds..Gray morning, in the thirties, barely..Hay Jan, just read your account of your voyage, very nice I’d love to do that..Since the coffee makers carafe got destroyed we’ve been using a percolator on the stove top, old school but it works..Hope your having a happy Chanukah Arye..Montana Lady, did you, or are you still having a good visit with your kids?.I’ll be moving on to other comics now, have fun..ttfn
We came back really late Saturday night, and spent the last two days recovering…………I caught some kind of cold…….I guess from the airplane. :((
We, too, had a WONDERFUL time! The gang is all well, and we enjoyed the feast. Then, “Us Girls” took our youngest daughter shopping for her wedding gown (wedding’s in July). Absolutely beautiful. The first dress she tried on made me cry. :))
Then we hosted her Engagement Party at a restaurant in San Diego’s Old Town with mariachis and all that fun stuff.
Very short trip, but oh so enjoyable.
Jan, your cruise sounded wonderful, too!
Stay warm everyone. Our Arctic Blast had us down to 2.7 degrees during the night! Glad we don’t have to go anywhere!
Back to the routines now. Yesterday being the first business day of the month, I had a lot to do at work so I didn’t get to poker class. I will do that today.
Still a bit tired and still trying to adapt to Pacific Time again. At least the world has stopped swaying. It took me a day and a half to lose my “sea legs”.
Just returned from Christmas shopping for one of two of my granddaughters and my greatgranddaughter. Going to do a little each week so that it’s not one big shopping day.
Back in the high 70’s the rest of the week- shorts-yeaaaaaaaaaa

Morning, Vagabonds. Wow, Arye! The Mayor of New York City? Congratulations!
Got my yard decorations up. But I still don’t want to put up house lights. I just don’t think it’s worth all the effort.
My coffee maker isn’t working this morning. So I’m heating water in a tea kettle to pour it through the coffee strainer.

@DAVID: I posed with the mayor of NORTH MIAMI, not New York City.
