    And at our house… An HVAC contractor cut corners several years back and so there was no filter between the outside air intake and the furnace. The outcome was that things got in there and burned and damaged it so that it was now pushing carbon monoxide down the vents. We got poisoned. We’re lucky to be alive this week (and grateful to the new HVAC guy.) So this comic hits really close to home. Have a CO alarm—and make sure it’s all the way plugged in like ours, it turned out, wasn’t.

    You call mom. She will shut off the water. Same with the power if necassary. Put a tourniquet on any limb in need. The one for the head is a given as long as she doesn’t use the neck. AND she will cal 911 & a competent plumber all in the space of about 60 seconds..How? Because its mom and to a 6 year old a mom has super powers.
